ENZO, DOMANI A PALERMO! 1999, Beta, 60’
Un film sulla storia di Enzo Castagna, palermitano, organizzatore di comparse, accusato di rapina e collusione con la mafia, ma comunque, secondo il suo parere, al centro del mondo del cinema. L’opera, che rielabora anche i due cortometraggi dedicati a Castagna Sicilia da Oscar (1993) e I Castagna sono buoni (1994), mostra un brano di realtà che finisce per superarla.
A portrait of Enzo Castagna from Palermo: an organizer of walk-on parts, charged with robbery and collusion with the Mafia, considers himself as a cornerstone of the film industry. The film, an elaboration of two short films dedicated to Castagna, namely Sicilia da Oscar (1993) and I Castagna sono buoni (1994), depicts a portion of reality, but in the end outweighs reality itself.
