Gang-doo gestisce un bar insieme al padre. La sua grande gioia è la figlia e insieme conducono una vita tranquilla. Un giorno però questo equilibrio viene sconvolto da un enorme mostro che emerge dalle acque del vicino fiume Han divorando tutto e tutti.
Gang-doo manages a small shop with his father, and leads a happy life with his daughter. One day, however, this perfect balance is upset by a huge monster that emerges from the nearby river Han and starts to devour things and people.
