Ambientato nella periferia - banlieue - degradata di una città francese, che potrebbe però essere una qualsiasi città in Europa. Dopo che alcuni suoi colleghi hanno ammazzato di botte un immigrato clandestino, la lotta interiore mai sopita si riaffaccia prepotentemente alla coscienza di Sid, ragazzo di periferia che ha scelto, contro tutto e contro tutti, di fare il poliziotto. Rientrato a casa, e a confronto con la sorella, il conflitto diventa sempre più lacerante...
The setting is provided by the degraded suburbs - banlieue - of a French city that might be any other European city. After some of his colleagues have beaten to death an illegal immigrant, Sid, a young man from the suburbs who has decided - in spite of all - to become a policeman, is confronted once more with a fierce inner struggle. After coming back home and facing his sister, the struggle gets more and more heartbreaking...

Biografia - Biography:
Nolwenn Lemesle was born in 1978, in Rennes. She follows a programme "Arts du spectacle" at the University in Rennes, then obtains Master's degree "Etudes cinématographiques et audiovisuelles" in speciality scenario to the University Paris 1.
She obtains the 1st Prize of the scenario of the SIRAR to the Festival of the Film of Aubagne which allowed her to shoot her short film Poids plume in 2005, produced by the G.R.E.C. The film is selected in numerous festivals and obtains several prizes.
In 2007, she shot Sid, a short film produced by Paris-Brest Productions and Gloria Films. At the same time, she worked as scriptwriter. She notably collaborated in the writing of the feature Par suite d'un arrêt de travail of Frédéric Andréi, screened in 2008. Today, she develops her project of first feature film as director.
