Un tassista che accompagna una donna ad un indirizzo dove non trova ciò che sta cercando. È questo il punto di partenza per un viaggio in una Parigi marginale, sconosciuta e quindi ostile, nella quale la donna non sa orientarsi nemmeno per tornare a casa.
Il film, abilmente girato da una giovane autrice francese, trasmette con sapienza tutta l'ansia della protagonista in una città non familiare, ma anche quella di un uomo incapace di aiutarla e sempre più coinvolto nel suo dramma. E trasmette allo spettatore il disorientamento assoluto dell'essere soli in terra straniera.

A taxi-driver takes a woman to an address, where she doesn't find what she is looking for. This is just the starting point for a drive around a peripheral, unknown, and therefore hostile Paris, in which the lady can't take her bearings - not even to get back home. The film, skilfully directed by a young French filmmaker, successfully manages to convey the protagonist's anxiety in a city that is not familiar to her, but also the man's anxiety as he is unable to help her, while feeling more and more involved in her tragedy. And it also conveys the utter confusion of being alone in a foreign land.

Nata nel 1974, Lola Frederich ha dapprima una formazione letteraria. In seguito lavora come assistente alla regia in numerosi cortometraggi e nel 2005 esordisce alla regia con il documentario Dans l'ombre d'une ville, che racconta la vita delle donne analfabete che vivono nel quartiere della Goutte d'Or di Parigi.
Née en 1974, Lola Frederich a une formation littéraire. Elle a travaillé comme assistante à la réalisation de nombreux courts métrages avant de réaliser Dans
l'ombre d'une ville (2005), un documentaire sur les femmes analphabètes du quartier de la Goutte d'Or à Paris.
