Biografia - Biography:
Ben Shalom was born in Jerusalem, Israel in 1979 and moved with his family to California in 1985. After high school, Ben received his Bachelor's Degree in Video/Film Art at California State University Northridge in 2002. He then received his M.F.A. at the USC School of the Cinematic Arts in the Animation and Digital Arts Division. His thesis film Gemini Max & The Glowing Goddess, a crazy blend of live action and animation, is Ben's first narrative short. In 2007, Ben worked for Myspace as a media director creating a wide range of content and collaborated with directors such as Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez in producing interviews, online content and an EPK for their double feature Grindhouse. Ben recently worked on Their Eyes Were Dry, a documentary dealing with the Ma'alot Massacre that took place in Israel in 1974. In July and August of 2008, Ben worked as a Visual Effects Supervisor for Ford Fusion and Toyota Camry commercials and is currently developing a controversial comedy for the big screen as well as an animated television series.
