In 1968, young animator Terry Gilliam earned his living by making short animations for a children's TV show on ITV, called Do Not Adjust Your Set. Also the future Monty Python members Terry Jones, Michael Palin, and Eric Idle worked on the same programme. The Elephant Sequence is a precious and visionary sketch that already includes all visual elements characterising Gilliam as an animator.
