Terry Jones è uno dei sei membri dei Monty Python. Assieme a Gilliam, è quello che più ha sempre sentito la necessità di cimentarsi anche dietro la macchina da presa. A differenza di Gilliam, però, ha sempre prediletto storie lineari e chiuse. Dopo l'esperienza con i Monty Python, ha continuato ad essere una presenza costante della cultura britannica, conducendo trasmissioni televisive, girando altri film - due degni di nota, "Erik The Viking" e "The Wind in the Willows", nei quali recitavano altri Monty Python. Una sua sarcastica lettera all'Observer del 2003 a proposito della politica Bush ha fatto molto discutere l'opinione pubblica.

Terry Jones is one of the six Monty Python members. Like Gilliam, he felt the urge to try and also direct films. Unlike Gilliam, though, he has always preferred straightforward, closed plots for his stories. After quitting the Monty Python group, he has still been active on the British culture scene, presenting TV shows, directing other films - among them, two are particularly noteworthy: Erik, The Viking and The Wind in the Willows, in which other Monty Python members acted. In 2003, he sent the Observer a sarcastic letter on Bush's policy, causing a great sensation.
