Withnail e Marwood sono due attori disoccupati che condividono un appartamento fatiscente a Camden Town, nella Londra della fine degli anni Sessanta. Withnail and Marwood are two unemployed actors who share a run-down flat in Camden Town, London, at the end of the Sixties. The first is an alcoholic dandy, while Marwood (the film's narrator) is the wise and slightly anxious friend, ready to follow Whitnail on his undertakings. One day they decide to spend the weekend in the countryside, in a cottage belonging to Monty, Whitnail's rich homosexual uncle. This experience will strain their friendship...
