Sinossi / Synopsis

Tra sguardi timidi, primi baci, piccole gelosie, una tenera storia d'amore adolescenziale: nella calda estate sudamericana, tre amici si trovano ogni sera per giocare. Lui è innamorato, l'altro sembra innocuo, lei è molto bella: chi sceglierà alla fine? E l'amicizia resisterà alle gelosie reciproche? Un film leggero, per chi vuole tornare a sognare l'amore puro.

Shy glances, first kisses, little jealousy episodes tell the tender story of a teenage love. In the hot South American summer, three friends get together every night to play. One of the boys is in love with the girl, the other looks harmless, and she is just beautiful: who is she going to choose? And will friendship survive jealousy? It is a carefree film, for those who want to dream about pure love again.

Note di regia / Director's Statement

Forse la decisione più importante che abbiamo preso durante la realizzazione di questo corto è stata prescindere dall'uso dei dialoghi. Abbiamo cercato di ricostruire un clima intimo e complice tra i personaggi. Sono notti che passano quasi come in sogno. Per rendere questa sensazione abbiamo evitato il procedimento naturalista, cercando invece di sottolineare con l'uso della camera una certa artificiosità della situazione. È per questo che per noi Corredores de Verano è innanzitutto un racconto, una semplice storia di amicizia e innamoramento: una ragazza e due ragazzi trascorrono assieme tre notti d'estate, cercandosi in una città che sembra vuota. Quando alla fine lei sceglie uno dei due la tensione è inevitabile, ma l'estate è ancora lunga...

Biografia/Biography:

Ana Guevara Pose (born in Montevideo on the 7 February 1980) and Leticia Jorge Romero (born in Montevideo on the 5 November 1981) both with degrees in Media Studies from the Catholic University in Uruguay, start working together in the creation of original scripts in 2004. Throughout 2005 they produced and co-directed the short film El Cuarto Del Fondo (The guest room) finishing it in 2006. In 2007 Tanta Agua (So much water) was selected to take part in the Course for development of Iberoamerican cinematographic projects from Casa de América and Fundaci&oavute;n Carolina and by the Amiens Film Festival to participate in the Script Development Fund. In 2008 they directed their second short film, Corredores De Verano (Summer Runners), produced by Controlz Films. This same year Tanta Agua got the Huber Bals Developement grant and has also participated at the Open Doors section at the 61st Internacional Film Festival of Locarno, Switzerland. In 2009 Corredores De Verano was selected by the 38th Rotterdam Film Festival, by the Tampere International Short Film Festival, was screened at Tolousse and has recently selected by the Festival Internacional de cortometrajes de Sao Paulo, Brasil.
