Sinossi / Synopsis

Potrete vederlo, Muto. Per intero. Bellissimo, vero? Muto lascia senza parole.

Visit the website of Blu, the man who has changed the way we perceive street art. You will be able watch Muto from the beginning to the end. It is beautiful, isn't it? Yet such a short film, when featured in an international competition, takes on a totally different value. Its projection on the big screen should make the experience unique. Because Muto is a story animated through murals, made in the streets of Buenos Aires and Baden. Yet Muto is even more; it blurs the boundaries between short film and art work. The impressive work on the city walls wouldn't make sense without the editing process, which turns the single frames into a marvelous movement. Muto will leave you speechless.

separe2008_0.gif Biografia/Biography:

Blu started out his artistic career following his passion for drawing, public art, particularly unauthorized, illegal art. Coming from the graffiti culture he started developing his art based on a very personal figurative style. His work lives in two stages and two different spaces. It originates from sketches jotted down in sketchbook, which represent a diary as well as an image database to be used in the second stage: the mural. The actual project starts in front of the building, with size and load bearing elements of the wall, in effort to identify an impossible combination between painting and surrounding architecture. He sometimes made animation short films.
