He is a mouse, she is a cat: the typical couple of the animation cinema comes back in an impoverished and essential 3D world, which overwhelms the spectator with emotion. After year-long fights they mend their relationship, but it is a hard life, as he is a novelist with writer's block and she is very shy. It is a small masterpiece, divided in short episodes alternating laughter and hysteria, that reaches a new frontier in animation films.
Note di regia / Director's StatementI made this film in my bedroom during 2008, without any budget or deadline. It was my first real exploration into emotional storytelling after becoming fed up with making conceptual films. The narrative was put together from personal experiences and hearing stories from friends.
