Lo studio Aardman ha la meritata reputazione di leader mondiale nella produzione di animazione, ha ottenuto sette nomination all'Oscar e ne ha vinti quattro. Peter Lord e David Sproxton, i fondatori, hanno iniziato il loro sodalizio sui banchi di scuola e hanno conosciuto Nick Park alla National Film and Television School, quando stava lavorando al suo film di diploma A Grand Day Out. Nel 1985 Nick si è unito a tempo pieno alla Aardman e nel 1989 ha portato il primo Oscar allo studio con il corto Creature Comforts, primo di una serie di grande successo. Tutti i corti della serie, che ha compiuto 20 anni nel novembre 2009, hanno ottenuto questi premi e riconoscimenti. Al momento Aardman ne sta producendo uno nuovissimo, Wallace and Gromit's World of Invention, di cui presenta in anteprima al festival alcuni frammenti.
La carriera di Phil inizia con un corso propedeutico in arte presso il Twickenham College of Technology. Nei successivi nove anni, Phil lavora come insegnante, stuccatore, carpentiere e scultore. Nel 1980 si unisce alla Asylum Models and Effects Ltd come scultore e direttore artistico e nel 1989 passa alla CodSteaks di Bristol. In questo periodo Phil inizia a lavorare a progetti della Aardman come A Close Shave e The Wrong Trousers. Dal 1997 Phil ha lavorato a molte delle grandi produzioni della Aardman, inclusi i suoi primi due lungometraggi, Chicken Run e The Curse of the Were Rabbit. David studied Illustration & Graphic Design and Brighton Polytechnic and in 1988 became a freelance illustrator, working in a wide range of styles. In 1995 joined Warner Bros as a licensing character artist where he remained for a year. David joined Aardman in 2002 as a junior story artist. Since then, David has worked as story artist on the first series of Shaun the Sheep as well as Wallace & Gromit's latest outing A Matter of Loaf and Death. David is currently story artist on the forthcoming Aardman feature film Pirates!
Nick Park
Nick Park, director and producer, is a four-time Academy Award winner, three in the category of Best Animated Short Film - Creature Comforts, The Wrong Trousers and A Close Shave and more recently in the category for Best Animated Feature Film for The Curse of The Were Rabbit. All four films were created and produced at Aardman, where Park is a co-director with founders Peter Lord and David Sproxton. In 1997, Park was awarded a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire). In June 2000, Park's first feature film Chicken Run, co-directed with Peter Lord, was released worldwide to critical acclaim and box office success Over the years with Aardman, Park has also served as a director and animator on numerous other projects.

Matt Perry
Matt Perry inizia la sua carriera in animazione costruendo pupazzi, materiali di scena e scenografie per i film della AR Animations di Leicester. Inizia a lavorare come modellista, concentrandosi particolarmente su lavori per la televisione e sculture. Trasferitosi a Bristol nei primi anni Novanta, Matt inizia a lavorare alle scenografie di alcuni progetti della Aardman. Nel 2000 lavora come assistente scenografo sul set del primo lungometraggio della Aardam, Chicken Run, occupandosi soprattutto dei set meccanici come quello della "macchina fabbrica-torte". Matt sta attualmente lavorando come direttore artistico responsabile al prossimo lavoro della Aardman, Pirates!
Matt Perry began his animation career making puppets, props and film sets for AR Animations in Leicester. He began working for model makers, leaning specifically towards television and sculptural work. Upon moving to Bristol in the early 1990s, Matt began working on set designs for various Aardman projects. In 2000 he became assistant production designer on Aardman’s first feature film, Chicken Run, working in particular on mechanical sets such as the 'Pie machine'. Matt is currently Supervising art director on Aardman’s latest feature project Pirates!
Micael Salter, Story artist
L'interesse di Michael Salter per i cartoni animati inizia durante la sua infanzia. Dopo il diploma in Graphic Design all'Exter College of Art & Design lavora per un po' di tempo come illustratore freelance. Nel 1992 inizia a lavorare per la Aardman come scenografo e disegnatore di storyboard. In seguito Michael lavora alla storyboard di A close Shave di Nick Park, vincitore di un Oscar, prima di diventare disegnatore di ruolo nel primo lungometraggio della Aardman Chicken Run e disegnatore responsabile nel primo lungometraggio di Wallace & Gromit The Curse of the Were Rabbit, con cui supera le preselezioni degli Annie Award. Michael attualmente sta lavorando al prossimo lungometraggio della Aardman, Pirates.
Michael Salter's interest in cartoons began in childhood and after graduating in Graphic Design from the Exeter College of Art & Design he worked for some time as a freelance illustrator. He first started working for Aardman as a freelance designer/storyboard artist in 1992. Michael later worked on storyboarding for Nick Park's Oscar-winning A Close Shave, before taking the role of storyboard artist on Aardman's first feature film Chicken Run and senior storyboard artist first Wallace & Gromit feature The Curse of the WereRabbit, for which he was short listed for an Annie award. Michael is currently working as storyboard artist on Aardman's upcoming feature film, Pirates.
David Venicombre
David ha studiato illustrazione e grafica al Politecnico di Brighton e nel 1988 inizia a lavorare come illustratore freelance utilizzando un'ampia varietà di stili. Nel 1995 si unisce alla Warner Bros come artista associato. Nel 2002 inizia a collaborare con la Aardman come disegnatore di storyboard junior. Da allora si è occupato, in qualitĂ di disegnatore di storyboard, della prima serie di Shaun the Sheep e dell'ultima creazione di Wallace & Gromit, A matter of Loaf and Death. Al momento disegna storyboard per il prossimo lungometraggio della Aardman Pirates
