Biografia/Biography

Alexei Tylevich is a filmmaker based in Los Angeles. He is a director, co-founder and creative director of Logan (www.logan.tv) and Mørk & Lys (www.morkandlys.com). Over the years, he has been involved in a number of high-profile commercial projects, such as TV and print campaigns for Apple iPod, Casio, Lexus, VW, music videos for Madonna, NoDoubt, Money Mark. Felix Da Housecat, Ken Ishii and Jurassic5, fashion work for Uniqlo, DKNY and Nike, game trailers for Playstation and EA Games, in-game content for Metal Gear Solid 4, among others. Logan's output ranges from live-action direction and production of music videos and TV commercials, to special effects and broadcast design, to environmental, interactive and print design. Apart from commercial work, Alexei often contributes to art projects and exhibitions. His work has been included in "Desert Sexy" group show at the Constant Gallery in LA, "Two Faced" exhibit on display at Cosh gallery in London and Agnes B. in Hong Kong; a custom toy show at Mixi-Bang! gallery in Pasadena, CA; an experimental mobile phone project "Virtual Frame" at the Kunsthalle Wien and the "Stealing Eyeballs" show at the Kunstlerhaus in Vienna; the "Electra" show at the Henie-Onstad Center in Oslo; among others. His experimental video work appeared in numerous festivals such as Ars Electronica, Sundance, onedotzero, RESfest, SIGGRAPH, among many others. Alexei's work has been recognized over the years in numerous publications including: Eye, Shift, GASBook, RES, Wired (where he was featured as one of "20 people bringing 21-st century Hollywood to life"), I.D. magazine (he was chosen as one of 40 most influential designers under 30), among others. Alexei has served on the jury for ADC (Art Directors Club) and ACD (American Center for Design) 100 Show. He has taught at Fabrica and presented at the Cannes Festival, D&AD, Tokyo Game Show, "Mind the Gap" conference at Paradiso in Amsterdam, Grafill Norway, Resfest Tokyo, and onedotzero tour in Tokyo and Sapporo, among others.
