Il primo film della serie Wallace and Gromit, una produzione di Aardman in associazione con la DreamWorks Animation, segue le avventure dell'eccentrico inventore Wallace e del suo cane Gromit, intelligente ma silenzioso. I due vanno in soccorso degli abitanti di un villaggio assediato da un coniglio mannaro, in occasione dell’annuale concorso riservato a grandi mangiatori di ortaggi. Come Gianni & Pinot to o Stanlio & Ollio, i due eroi di plastilina meritano ormai un posto speciale nella storia del cinema, non solo di animazione. Nel cast di att ori che prestano la loro voce ai personaggi del film, anche Helena Bonham Carter e Ralph Fiennes. Grande successo di critica e pubblico, vince nel 2005 l’oscar come Migliro Film di Animazione.

The first feature-length of Wallace and Gromit film series. It was produced by Aardman Features in association with DreamWorks Animation. The film followed eccentric inventor Wallace and his intelligent but silent dog, Gromit, as they come to the rescue of the residents of a village which is being plagued by a mutated rabbit before the annual vegetable competition. Like Abbott and Costello or Laurel and Hardy, the two Plasticine heroes deserve a place in the history of cinema, not only of animation cinema. The Curse of the Were-Rabbit featured a voice cast including Helena Bonham Carter and Ralph Fiennes. It was a critical and commercial success, and won a number of film awards including the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
