Molti giovani pacifisti nel Delta del Niger sono pronti aÊimbracciare le armi con i ribelli contro i "corpi speciali", milizie formate da contractor delle multinazionali petrolifere e dalla polizia di stato. Queste milizie sono addestrate per stroncare brutalmente le rivolte popolari, hanno l'ordine di espropriare migliaia di persone dalle proprie baracche e di aprire il fuoco su donne e ragazzi che marciano pacificamente. Chi vive nell'inferno del delta non ha niente da perdere. Né spera in una soluzione pacifica del disastro creato dalle compagnie petrolifere che inquinano aria, terra e corsi d'acqua. Le diverse etnie del delta si sono unite nel rivendicare non solo la bonifica dell'ambiente, ma anche una quota dei proventi da capogiro che si spartiscono i governi locali e stranieri, le aziende e gli azionisti in tutto il mondo. Ribelli e gruppi attivisti del delta hanno chiesto a Sandy Cioffi di raccontare al mondo la loro verità. It's better to die in an armed conflict than in a march for peace! Many young pacifists of the Niger Delta are ready to take up arms with the rebels against the "special corps", the militia formed by the contractors of the oil companies and the state police. These militia are trained to brutally crush popular uprisings, they have orders to expropriate thousands of people from their huts and to open fire on women and youngsters on peaceful demonstrations. Those who live in the hell of the delta have nothing to lose. Nor do they hope in a pacific solution of the disaster created by the oil companies that pollute the air, soil and water. The different ethnic groups in the delta have joined forces to demand not only the reclamation of the environment but also a share in the mind-boggling profits shared by the local and foreign governments, companies and shareholders all over the world. Rebels and activist groups in the delta asked Sandy Cioffi to tell the world their truth. The last films by the documentary maker were confiscated by the Nigerian secret services and one of her assistants was held in a military prison.
