La bandura è uno strumento a corde ucraino, il cui uso nella musica tradizionale di quel paese risale al XVI secolo. Vasyl, arrivato a Napoli a cercar fortuna, è molto bravo a suonarla. Eppure, per guadagnarsi da vivere, passa la sua giornata a consegnare bombole di metano. Danilo Caputo è nato a Grottaglie nel 1984, nel 2009 è assistente alla regia di Cristina Comencini e nel 2010 è invitato al Talent Campus della Berlinale. Non perdiamolo di vista.
The bandura is a Ukrainian string instrument, which has been used in that country's traditional music since the 16th century. Vasyl, who has come to Naples in search of fortune, plays it very well, but to earn a living, he spends his days delivering methane cylinders. Danilo Caputo was born in Grottaglie in 1984, in 2009 he was assistant director to Cristina Comencini and in 2010 he was invited to the Talent Campus of the Berlinale. We must keep our eyes on him.

Biografia/Biography
Danilo Caputo studia musica al San Francisco Conservatory of Music con il compositore Dusan Bogdanovic, poi Drammaturgia e Performing Arts a Berlino con l'artista statunitense David Levine. Nel 2007 scrive e dirige il pluri-premiato Polvere. L'anno successivo si laurea in filosofia e nel 2009 partecipa da assistente alla regia alla lavorazione de Lo Spazio Bianco, un film di Francesca Comencini. Poco dopo prendono il via le riprese di Banduryst. Nel 2010 è invitato al Talent Campus del Festival del Cinema di Berlino.
Danilo Caputo studies music at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music guitarist and composer Dusan Bogdanovic. He then moves to Berlin to study Dramaturgy and Performing Arts with artist David Levine. In 2007 he writes and directs Dust, a short film awarded with several national prizes. In 2008 he earns a degree in Philosophy in Naples. In 2009 he works on The White Space, a Francesca Comencini's film. Later that same year he writes and directs Banduryst, his second short film. In 2010 he is a guest of the Talent Campus held by the Berlin Film Festival.
