Sinossi / Synopsis
Yoli non è più molto giovane, e ha sempre vissuto con l'anziana madre in un quartiere povero dell'Havana: un rapporto soffocante ma al tempo stesso rassicurante che un giorno però viene messo alla prova da un uomo che la invita ad uscire. Per la prima volta, Yoni rinuncia alla compagnia della madre. Ma chi è lo sconosciuto? E' lui che stava aspettando, vendendo accendini sulla soglia di casa? Opera di diploma di una giovane regista cubana.
Yoli is not so young any more, and she has always lived with her elderly mother in a poor neighbourhood of Havana: a suffocating but at the same time reassuring relationship that one day is put to the test by a man who asks her out. For the first time, Yoli gives up the company of her mother. But who is the stranger? Is it the man she was waiting for whilst selling lighters on the doorstep of her home? The end of studies film by a young Cuban director.

Biografia/Biography
Nel 2001, frequenta il corso di realizzazione audiovideo presso l'Istituto Dragão do Mar per laurearsi in seguito alla Universidad Federal de Ceará con una tesi intitolata 'Dell'estetica e dell'etica', analisi del film Ciudad de Dios di Fernando Meireles. Dedica la tesi magistrale al cinema di Michelangelo Antonioni.
