Jasper Elings è un provocatore: ha realizzato loop-video con gli sputi dei calciatori durante i match, fotografato paesaggi dichiarandone gli espliciti ritocchi fotografici, pubblicato un volume dal titolo Picturebook without pictures. Recentemente ha investito tempo e pazienza selezionando immagini di tramonti su Google, e ne ha costruito uno totalmente artificiale. Potrebbe farlo chiunque? Certo, e Elings non ha presunzioni: ci dimostra, semplicemente, che il "pensiero 2.0" può essere anche artistico. Se messo in sharing, ovviamente.
Jasper Elings is a man who provokes: he has made loop videos of footballers spitting during matches, photographed landscapes explicitly declaring the photos were touched up and published a book called Picturebook without pictures. He has recently spent a great deal of time and patience selecting pictures of sunsets on Google, and then he made a totally artificial one. Couldn't just anybody do that? Of course, and Elings has no presumptions: he shows us, very simply, that "2.0 thought" can also be artistic. As long as it is shared, of course.

Jasper Elings studied animation and film at the Art Academy AKV St. Joost in Breda, the Netherlands. He graduated in the year 2005. He lives and works in the hague, the Netherlands. His short films are distributed by De Filmbank - Amsterdam, and have been screened at various festivals internationally.
