Muzaffer torna da Istanbul al suo villaggio natale per girare un film con gli abitanti del luogo. Mentre cerca di realizzare le prime riprese, un caleidoscopio di storie gli gravitano intorno. La madre si lamenta per la sua salute, il padre è impegnato in una guerra legale con il governo per la sua terra, suo cugino cerca di trovare un posto sicuro ed il piccolo Ali deve conservare un nuovo intatto per quaranta giorni per poter avere l'orologio dei suoi sogni. Tutti partecipare anno al cast del suo film.

Muzaffer returns from Istanbul to his home village to make a film with the local population. Whilst he attempts to shoot the first scenes, a kaleidoscope of stories gravitate around him. His mother complains about her health, his father is involved in a legal battle with the government over his land, his cousin is looking for a steady job and little Ali has to keep an egg unbroken for 40 days so that he can conquer the watch of his dreams. They will all be in the cast of his film.
