Le turbolente esistenze dei tre fratelli Nesrin, Guzin e Mehmet si riavvicinano alla notizia della scomparsa della madre tra i monti del suo villaggio. Dopo averla ritrovata, dovranno fare i conti con una donna malata di Alzheimer. Lontana dalla sua natura, l'impatto con la grande metropoli risulterà per lei uno shock troppo grande che, solo il figlio di Nesrin sembra poter capire. Un commovente affresco sulla malattia, sulla solitudine e sulla difficoltà a costruire un futuro quanto meno incerto.
Nesrin, Guzin and their brother Mehmet, who each leads a turbulent life, meet up again when they learn that their mother has disappeared in the mountains surrounding her village. When they find her, they have to reckon with a woman suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Far from nature, the impact with the large city will be too great a shock for her and which only NestrinŐs son seems to understand. A moving fresco on illness, loneliness and on the difficulty of building up a future which is, to say the least, uncertain.

Ha debuttato come regista nel 1994 con "La traccia", premiato come miglior film al Festival Cinematografico di Istanbul. In precedenza, aveva realizzato diversi lungometraggi, vincitori di premi e riconoscimenti, tra cui spicca "Hotel" (1992).
