Galata, Istanbul. Il muezzin Musa si innamora della sua vicina di casa, l'infermiera cattolica Clara. Le cose si complicano quando Musa conosce Yakup, libraio appassionato di letteratura che sembra avere un legame speciale con Clara. Le vite di queste tre persone iniziano a intersecarsi. La religione per una volta non è motivo di scontro o incomprensione tra i protagonisti, ma elemento di riflessione sulle proprie scelte di vita. Il film, opera prima del regista, ha vinto primo premio a Rotterdam nel 2009.
Galata, Istanbul. The muezzin Musa falls in love with his neighbour, the Catholic nurse Clara. Things become complicated when Musa meets Yakup, a bookseller passionate about literature who seems to share a special bond with Clara. The lives of these three people start to become intersected. For once, religion is not the reason of conflict or misunderstanding between the characters, but an element of reflection on their life choices. The film, director's first work, was the winner at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam in 2009.
