An imaginary documentary on the breakout of an atomic war in the UK. An experiment of genre but the mock documentary is the way to denounce the reluctance of the British government to inform the citizens on the real effects of atomic power. Constructed by alternating invention with authentic documents and eye-witness accounts, the film, due to political pressure, was withdrawn by the BBC before it could be broadcast. Although it was awarded the Oscar as the best documentary, the film had to wait twenty years in Britain before it overcame censorship.
