The Project
ARE YOU SERIES? is the project conceived by Milano Film Festival and which has come into being thanks to the support of Banca Prossima, with the aim of producing a web series in 10 episodes about the Italian non-profit world, using creative solutions and innovative languages.

The objective of the project is to support talent and creativity, focusing on those who, breaking away from traditional languages and optimizing the potential of the web, are able to relate the world of non-profit in a contemporary way.
The exploration of new languages used in series and of contamination are at the core of a project which sets the objective of promoting a realistic image of the non-profit sector and raising the awareness of cinema and communication professionals to measure up to a theme and a format which are as yet little explored.

The competition ARE YOU SERIES?

- Is for production companies, film students, non profit organizations and directors of all nationalities who are over 18.

- Is open from 16th September 2013 to 10th March 2014. To enter, candidates must fill in the form and paper format of the web series and send in a pilot episode with a maximum running time of 10 minutes.

The closing date is 10th March 2014 and the winner, announced by the selection committee by April 2014, will be able to make the whole web series of 10 episodes. The budget assigned to the winning project will cover the production costs for a maximum of € 60,000. The winner will also be able to benefit from the advice of professional tutors.

A selection of the films entering the competition will be visible on the platform, which will promote the best of the creativity on the theme of the non-profit sector.

The first two episodes of the web series produced will be premiered at the 19th Milano Film Festival, in September 2014 and then uploaded on to the site.
