In Marseilles, Hélène, a mature and arrogant woman, has just arrived in Julien's house. He seems to be surprised by her early arrival. Their meeting was previously arranged, but they talk little to each other. The reason of their rendezvous is unknown, but there is something familiar and unclear, a mysterious bond that is presumably important but difficult to define. What are they to each other?
