Quattro facce di una stessa famiglia. Quattro disperate richieste di vivere. Un segreto si cela dietro quattro finestre. Quello che vogliono è fuggire gli uni dagli altri, ma finiscono per legarsi ancor più saldamente. Più ridono, più si fa silenzio attorno a loro. Le crepe nel quadro di famiglia si allargano sempre più, fino a che, inevitabilmente, si rivela la verità. “Con questo film ho voluto approfondire che cosa sia veramente una famiglia. Da un lato, un luogo di amore e devozione e dall’altro di abuso, abuso di certi meccanismi di potere. E poi il film racconta il desiderio di essere amati e di essere toccati. Nella famiglia ci sono spesso strutture precostituite all’interno delle quali ciascuno mette in opera strategie diverse per ottenere amore. E molto spesso l’immagine stessa dell’amore sembra sufficiente”.

Four faces of a family. Four screams for life. A secret behind four windows. They want to get away from each other, but they clasp each other even more firmly. The more they laugh, the quieter it gets around them. The cracks in the family picture widen until an inescapable secret reveals itself. “I wanted to look into the question of what family really means. On the one hand it’s a place of love and devotion and on the other one of abuse. I’m thinking of abuse of power structures. Lastly it’s also about the longing for love and the longing to be touched. In the family there are firm structures within which everyone uses certain strategies in order to get love. Very often the very image of love is enough”.
