In collaboration with 
Among the many novelties featured by the 2007 edition, Milano Film Festival presents a new section on music documentaries, conceived and developed together with In-Edit Beefeater Festival, a well-established event run in Barcelona.
Music has always played a primary role in the festival's side events, and every year dozens of documentaries make their way to the selection committee. Soundoc provides room for filmmakers whose works focus on - and in some cases celebrate - specific bands, scenes and music genres, thus offering an interesting social analysis and revealing the customs and the wide range of personal experiences which generate them.
This section consists in a different journey through the history of contemporary culture and aims to spotlight independent productions, free from business dynamics.
Without neglecting the quality of the films, Soundoc presents musicians, bands and genres with impressive media appeal but also hidden realities, ignored for geographic, cultural or – more simply – commercial reasons.
