(UN)common Lives
Milano Film Festival reviews lives. Lives negotiating a hostile environment, a distrustful government, a forgetful memory. But films are primarily a form of visual memory. This new section consists of a season of biographic documentaries featured in the Milano Film Festival. The stories of Vanderlei, Zrug, Raymundo are samples of all the stories intertwined all over the world.
A special screening is dedicated to Raymundo, a documentary starring Argentinian filmmaker Raymundo Gleyzer, who described the revolutionary side of Latin America and paid for his resistance with his life. Other films depict the lives of a school-bus driver in the Amazon region, of a Saharawi graduate who returns to his country, of youths in Teheran, of 8 inhabitants of an Australian town who refuse to leave it. The season is complemented with stories from Russia, Brazil, Scotland . And Naples.
