This year the Feature Film Competition will present first and second works only - about ten in total - by filmmakers coming from every corner of the world, thus reaffirming and reinforcing the festival's mission and vocation by seeking and bringing to light the most innovative, bravest, newest, and highest-quality films. Once again and once more, it is our bet for future filmmaking.

The very rich programme schedule will be taking place among Teatro Strehler, Parco Sempione, Teatro Dal Verme, and Acquario Civico.

It will also include: our annual Short Film Competition; a complete retrospective dedicated to the works of Ermanno Olmi; the 5th edition of the Colpe di Stato - State (T)error section; a new format for Incontri italiani - Italian Get-togethers, structured as a real and typical outlook on the most recent productions; the Focus on Animation with a short film marathon in Parco Sempione and a workshop; the renewed collaboration with MiTo SettembreMusica for the Invisible Japan section; Milano Film Festivalino, the event dedicated to kids; the concerts on the Sagrato, and much more.
