Milano Film Festival has always supported projects of alternative accommodation, as a solution to the lack of low-cost facilities in a city that is expensive and often inhospitable.
Besides the Filmmakers' House, a temporary hostel set up in unusual spaces and designed as a real house, which becomes a workshop and a place to gather and interact, the Bed Sharing service will be launched, in order to boost the interaction among those who live in Milan and come to the city to attend the festival.
Two unique alternatives to experience the real atmosphere of the festival.
Bed Sharing

Bed Sharing is the alternative form of hospitality designed by esterni to put in contact people looking for a place with people offering one in Milan.

The Filmmakers' House
This is an alternative hospitality project Milano Film Festival has been carrying on since 2004, in order to accommodate filmmakers and the many guests coming to the Festival every year.
It is a temporary hostel designed like a real house that during the ten festival days turns into a workshop and a place where people meet, share experiences and ideas, and get to know each other. It is a place where friendships and collaborations between filmmakers, countries and different production experiences are easily started.
This year the Filmmakers' House will be set up at Base B (36 via Lambruschini, Milan), in the Bovisa area, between the Design and Engineering faculties of Milan's Politecnico university, and just opposite Triennale Bovisa. It will offer over 4,000 sqm of space on more levels, rooms with 4 to 8-10 beds, a shared kitchen, a room for self-managed screenings, internet access, showers, bathrooms, and an outdoor area for night barbecues.
