Teatro Strehler

It will be the main venue for the screening of in-and out-of-competition films. Since 2000, in the Sala Grande (seating almost 1000), in the Scatola Magica, and in the Sagrato have taken place screenings, meetings with filmmakers and guests of the festival, workshops, concerts and DJ sets, as well as the babysitting service which lets children enter one of the most important theatres in Italy and in the world.

Teatro Studio
The theatre will host meetings and screenings of out-of-competition films. As one of the most fascinating locations, it is the most suitable for special screenings combined with meetings or performances by guests.

Teatro dal Verme



A new festival venue for the competition and out-of-competition screenings. The theatre can accommodate over 1000 film-goers and it enjoys excellent acoustics which will enhance the performances mixing music and films featured in the festival programme. The area in front of the theatre will also provide the setting for meetings with the festival authors.

Parco Sempione - Piazza del Cannone It will be the second festival hub, with two wide areas for outdoor screenings and a concert area for all music guests featured every night in the festival programme.

Acquario Civico

During the two festival weekends Milan's aquarium will host milano film festivalino, our film festival for children. From morning to night, the little festival-goers and their parents will not only discover a place that has always been a children's favourite, but also get the chance to take part in screenings, workshops and games, and discover new things.

Filmmakers' House


This temporary hostel, set up in an unusual but wonderful space, is destined to be a real house which over the ten days of the festival will become a creative workshop and a place where people will meet, get to know each other, and share experiences. A place where filmmakers from different countries and production backgrounds will start friendships and new collaborations.

This year the Filmmakers' House will be set up at Base B (36 via Lambruschini, Milan), in the Bovisa area. Read more
