The re-distribution project (www.ri-distribuzione.it) originated as a way to spread high-quality international films which do not belong to traditional film genres and distribution. In 2002, it became an independent project able to enter the market and create an alternative international circuit. The project acts through an international network of filmmakers, production houses, and fieldŐs professionals. It is aimed at associations and commercial organizations, a well as schools and academies contributing to film promotion and circulation and serving as vehicles for a new distribution model.
Joining the project
All filmmakers selected at Milano Film Festival are invited to join the project. For further information contact us at email@example.com
Over 150 film have been gathered in an online catalogue on our website www.ri-distribuzione.it. A search engine will give access to the film catalogue, so that users will be able to search films by topics and genres, as well as read their technical details and watch 30-second-long trailers. The films - distributed in DVD format - are in the original language with Italian subtitles.
From 2002 to 2007 the project reached cinemas, art houses, cultural associations and institutes, libraries, towns, schools, festival, and art events within Italy and abroad. They became themselves essential centres for an alternative distribution network.
