Ambientato nei primi anni Ottanta, è un film sull’infanzia, la vita familiare e sui ricordi. La vicenda narrata è espressamente autobiografica, e risale al tempo in cui la regista era una bambina e sua madre era colpita da attacchi di panico ogni volta che si doveva andare in qualche posto tutti insieme. Ogni volta dichiarava che lei non sarebbe partita e teneva così in ostaggio tutta la famiglia. Film di diploma per tutti i membri della troupe, è stato girato in 5 giorni, poco tempo davvero se si considera che sul set c’erano 3 bambini piccoli.
Set in the early 80’s it is a film about childhood, family life, and about memories. This particular story was taken from real life - when the director was a little girl her mum suffered of nervous anxiety atacks whenever they were meant to go somewhere together. She would declare - she wasn't going, and the whole family would be held hostage. Graduation film from the National Film & Television School of the United Kingdom - it was a graduation film of a whole team of people - and “It was filmed over 5 days which was pretty tight considering we had 3 small children to work with”.
