For years, they have been considered an audiovisual by-product, the meeting point of the record industry and the advertising sector. It took quite a few years for video clips to be acknowledged as an independent audiovisual genre, with its own forms of expression.
What helped was the international success achieved by the likes of Gondry Jonze, Cunningham Romanek and Muller Corbjin... And sooner or later, all of them have started making films. Our Focus on Video Clips starts from this point and tries to get a bit further. Exploring new visual and musical experimenting landscapes, and travelling the world - from Scandinavia to South America - to discover new talents.
