State (t)error

Introduction
Film programme
State (t)error Area

Introduzione
State (T)error is the section that we would like never to have again in the programme. We would like it if there were no longer any need, but we continue to feel he urgency for it and above all, more and more directors decide to document crimes committed by the state and to reveal he hidden ruths of large profit-making corporations.
More than 200 films were entered for the special competition of State (T)error, from 50 different countries. We chose 7 of them and have invited their directors so that they can tell us about the close links between governments and petroĀchemical multinationals (La baia dei lupi, Sweet Crude), the corporations hat run he food and pharmaceutical industries with profits which are out of all proportion (Greening he Revolution), neo-colonialism (Changement), speculations on GMO crops (Scientists Under Attack), mock peace missions (Myths for Profit), the effects of nuclear power (Dˇchets - Le cauchemar du nuclˇaire), and, as usual, the complicity of the mediaÉ
Every day in the area dedicated to State (T)error, it will be possible to meet the guests involved in the 7 selected films and not only this: the programme offers meeting and screening, interviews and deepening moments on different actual topics and hidden crimes.
