One of the great maestros of the cinema, Alain Resnais, died this year, on 1st March, just as the programme for this edition of Milano Film Festival was being built up step by step and when the section that the festival dedicates to the masters, old and new, of contemporary cinema, and to films that we believe can arouse emotions in the public, was beginning to take shape.
